Washtenaw Community College Dental Assisting Program Director Wins National Award

The American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA)  informed us Kristina Sprague, CDA, RDA, BS, FADAA has been selected as the 2019 ADAA Pride Award for Educators recipient!  As the only recipient chosen from a large group of candidates, it is an honor!

Kristina has been an instructor at Washtenaw Community College since 1998. She is currently the Department Chair of Allied Health and the Dental Assisting Program Director.  Prior to this time, she worked in private practice and at the Ann Arbor VA Hospital. Kristina has consulted and accompanied other faculty in conducting four-handed dentistry seminars. She has served as the President and numerous other board positions of the Michigan Dental Assistants Association and Washtenaw District Dental Assistants Society as well as served as a Michigan RDA Board examiner.

As evidenced in the nomination application, Tina has shown that she believes in loyalty to herrself as well as the profession of dental assisting.
