Officer Spotlight

Deborah Jaruzel CDA, R.D.A., BS

MDAA President 2017-18

I am excited to be serving in the capacity of President-Elect for the Michigan Dental Assistants Association this year! I bring to the board 32 years of Dental Assisting experience as a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant. In the past, I worked numerous years as a clinical dental assistant prior to becoming an educator in the Mott Community College Dental Assisting Program in 2004. I began my career as a dental assistant in 1984 when I graduated from Mott Community College withan Associate in Applied Science and my Bachelor of Science fro Rochester College in 2010. I am currently enrolled in MSU's (go GREEN!) HALE MA Program.

Many of you are familiar with me as I have been involved in the Dental Assisting profession for a long time and therefore, am a "Life" member of the American Dental Assistants Association. In addition, I have served over the years at the local level in various officer positions including that of president of the Genesee District Dental Assistants Society. Then in 2012, I took the next step and joined the MDAA Board as Chairman of the Education Committee. Next year, I take great pleasure in serving as your Michigan Dental Assistants Association, President !
I look forward to helping to move the Michigan Dental Assistants Association forward and will strive to help prepare it for the exciting advancements and challenges of the future.

At this time, I would like to invite every dental assistant to become actively involved in our association! Let's get started and together we can make a difference!
